If you’re reading this, well done, it means you’ve made it through another year. There may have been times when you wondered if you even would, but you have, and that in itself is quite an achievement, one in which is worthy of celebration for sure .
Now we’ve entered 2019, I'm sure we’re all hoping this year will be a year filled with positivity, health, abundance and beautiful shared memories...and I'm sure for most of us it probably will be.
I know there will be good times ahead, fantastic times...may even be some of the best times we would have ever experienced, and that in itself is something to look forward to. However, at the same time, I’m confident that most of us are wise enough to understand the polarised nature of life by now.
What I mean by that is, for all the happy, joyful, positive times, there will most certainly be sad, stressful and painful times too. We need to be open and honest about this undeniable fact.
So, knowing that challenging times will come and knowing that we can’t avoid them, perhaps it makes sense that we try to find healthier and more productive ways of dealing with inevitable stresses and challenges, rather than running from them, denying them or trying to disguise them with fake smiles, positive mantras, superficial relationships, or any other form of distraction.
In my opinion, 2018 was trying to teach us that pain, challenges and stresses cant be avoided, instead they need to be looked at, understood and then eventually transcended...only then can we find the genuine peace and happiness I believe we all truly seek.
So, to summarise...I believe this year will be testing on many levels, but I also believe that within us all is the strength, creativity and intelligence to overcome what ever is presented to us, especially if we come together and support each other the best we can.
So let us all celebrate 2019 and all of the good and the bad it may bring. Let us fearlessly embrace it all, with confidence, courage, wisdom, humility and most of all, a loving heart.
